Laboratory Operations Coordinator
The Czech Center for Phenogenomics (CCP) at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IMG) is looking for a responsible Laboratory Operations Coordinator to ensure the smooth operation of CCP laboratories, in particular by processing orders and arranging equipment servicing.
Job description
- Preparing orders for laboratory materials and ensuring equipment servicing, including communication with suppliers in the Czech Republic and abroad
- Keeping track of consumables and laboratory materials and managing the internal warehouse
- Maintaining inventory lists + inventory of assets and warehouse stock
- Receiving and sending shipments, distributing materials to laboratories
- Preparing technical parameters for public tenders for laboratory materials and services
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in biology /university degree in biology, or secondary school education in a similar field with relevant experience in a similar position
- Relevant experience in laboratory operations is an advantage
- Independence, responsibility
- Knowledge of English, both spoken and written
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office), internet skills
- Assertiveness, ability to deal with people, ability and willingness to learn
- Experience in a public research institution is an advantage

The initial contract is for 12 month with expected extension upon demonstrated proficiency. The employer is the IMG. The workplace is the CCP building in BIOCEV campus in Vestec.
