Experienced Researcher / Postdoctoral Scientist
The Czech Centre for Phenogenomics (CCP) is a leading research infrastructure providing specialized services for the biomedical and biotechnology community, focusing on genome editing, animal model research, and phenotyping.
To strengthen our team working on preclinical R & D projects related to skin diseases, we are seeking an experienced researcher or postdoctoral scientist to lead the development and testing of gene therapy platforms for rare skin disorders, alongside other team members. This is an exciting opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research using genetically modified rodent models and 3D cell models, applying the latest technologies in gene editing and delivery methods.
Your responsibilities
- Managing projects focused on rare genetic skin disorders
- Working with human gene variant mouse models and human cell-based systems
- Developing precise therapeutic approaches, including delivery systems and efficacy testing
- Collaborating with pharmaceutical and biotech companies
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD degree in biology, biomedicine, or genetics
- Experience with mouse experimentation, molecular biology, biochemistry, and immunodetection techniques
- Skills in analyzing biological samples; knowledge of 3D skin models is a plus
- Ability to independently plan, prepare, and perform in vivo experiments
- Valid national license or FELASA certification for handling laboratory animals (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively within an international research team in English

The position is based at the CCP building on the BIOCEV campus in Vestec. The initial contract is for 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on demonstrated ability. The start date is negotiable.
