Certified Animal BSL-3 facility (ABSL-3)
The facility offers short and long-term husbandry of animals for research of pathogens and consequences of infectious diseases. The laboratory is equipped with controlled environment and offers skilled personnel and technology for common and advanced animal research and techniques and procedures. All work with animals is preformed in biohazard flow boxes, ensuring highest standard of SPF animals and no contamination.
Individually ventilated cages for mice and rats offer isolated animal housing for reproducible and safe infectious disease studies. Temperature, humidity and lighting are fully automated.
Trained personnel are capable of performing a wide range of procedures on animals, including various methods of pathogen and drug administration, non-terminal sampling for biochemical and immunological analyses, and complex necropsies with pathological sampling. Qualified specialists are also proficient in conducting functional in vivo tests across diverse areas of animal physiology.
