HMC Charity Day 2026

12. 03. 2026 Information News

We are delighted that the Hanácký Mushers Club has decided to organize a charity event supporting research on Harlequin Ichthyosis. Harlequin Ichthyosis is a rare genetic disorder affecting the skin. Its research is one of the areas we focus on at CCP as part of the RD‑Factory program, dedicated to rare diseases.

On April 11, 2026, the recreational area Riostar in Čabová (Moravský Beroun) will host a special charity run and canicross event that connects sport, love for dogs, and support for biomedical research. The event is open to runners, dog enthusiasts, families, and anyone who would like to contribute to a meaningful cause.

The program will begin at 11:00 a.m. with participant registration, and the charity run starts at 1:00 p.m. Participants can run individually or together with their dogs in a canicross format. All proceeds from the event will support research aimed at better understanding the genetic mechanisms behind Harlequin ichthyosis and advancing the development of potential therapeutic approaches.

Events like this play an important role not only in raising funds, but also in increasing awareness of rare diseases and the importance of biomedical research. We greatly appreciate the initiative of the Hanácký Mushers Club and the support of everyone who chooses to take part.
