VACANCY – POSTDOC/JUNIOR RESEARCHER FOCUSED ON RARE DISEASE MODEL DEVELOPMENT

CCP is seeking a motivated and responsible candidate for the Postdoc position in the Phenotyping Module team, which develops and characterizes models of human genetic diseases.

Job description:

  • Research performed within the phenotyping group involved in deep characterization of mouse models of human diseases
  • The work will include cell culture, biochemistry, molecular biology, work with mouse (mostly) models in vivo and ex vivo, including histology and other methods
  • Administrative work related to scientific projects (experimental design, study design, reporting)

Required skills/qualification:

  • PhD in biological sciences or related field
  • Experience in molecular biology, genetics and physiology is of advantage
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in science management would be an asset
  • Eligibility for work with laboratory animals and animal samples (rodents)
  • Proficiency in English

Contract details:

  • Full-time position, initially available for 12 months, with potential for longer-term extension based on demonstrated ability
