VACANCY – JUNIOR RESEARCHER IN TRANSGENIC & ARCHIVING MODULE
CCP is seeking a motivated junior researcher to support the Transgenic & Archiving Module (TAM). TAM provides a comprehensive service in generation of mouse models including designing gene-targeting, generation of transgenic rodent models and genotyping.
The junior researcher will be involved in development and establishment of new technologies including genome editing for the rodent and cell-based models as well as service activities for our users.
Your key responsibilities:
- Conducting experiments, technology development and using of genome editing under the guidance of senior staff
- Generation of new genetically modified rodent (mouse, rat) models as models of human diseases using techniques such microinjections, electroporation, AAV, etc.
- Setting up the iPSC technology and cell-based/organoid models
- Genotyping and quality control development of the rodent and cell-based models
Required skills/qualification:
- A degree in biological, veterinary, medical, or related field
- Knowledge of (mouse) genetics and molecular biology
- Knowledge of genome editing technology and working with rodent models is of advantage
- Interest in learning and understanding of new methods and techniques
- Medical eligibility for work with laboratory animals and animal samples (rodents)
- Proficiency in English

Contract details:
- Full-time position, initially available for 12 months, with potential for longer-term extension based on demonstrated ability
